Legal Letterhead
In the busy world of lawyers and legal offices, almost all important documents are printed out on legal letterhead. A legal letterhead is a type of stationary just like a regular letterhead but the legal-sized is longer. Since the very earliest of law firms, clerks and paralegals have drafted legal statements on long sheets of paper. Legal jargon is precise so that there is no confusion when settling legal matters.
Legal letterhead is mostly used by lawyers, corporate law firms, and federal, state, and local governments. At 8.5 x 14 inches, legal letterhead often comes in a variety of papers but most lawyers and firms choose a heavier and higher quality paper because it conveys the right image. The name and address of the legal firm is usually found at the top of the stationary so there is no confusion about where the letter is coming from.
As practitioners of law need to convey a sense of professional authority, so too must their legal letterhead be professional. Almost everything that is printed on it is of a serious legal matter so the design must also create the same feeling. Every lawyer needs to be taken seriously and a good legal letterhead is one way to accomplish that.
